France’s supplementary pension fund for professional air crew members in civil aviation (CRPNPAC) was founded in 1951 to meet the specific needs of the careers of airline pilots, testing personnel, air hostesses and stewards, notably linked to their health conditions. The product of a long history, it extends the missions of the former Fonds de Prévoyance de l’Aéronautique Commerciale [French commercial aviation insurance fund] (1928) in assisting the victims of air accidents or their beneficiaries.
